I don't think people are so free to delete every single post.

By giving power to the users, then there will be no merging of threads, banning of users by admin/mods. Freedom to the users here.

Even you clicked is just 1 only. Need some amount of clicks to effect the action. If there are always the same 20 users who clicked it, the admin/mods will know which accounts to chop.

That's why I say, don't merge. 1 mod thinking and his action will cause the TS to feel hurt or angry. By giving power to the users, we will decide if that post is duplicate or not.

Calm down guys, rest assure no one is controlling or clalmping down hard on everyone here. That's when the feedback section comes in, we want to hear what you guys have to say.

Remember why we are here in the first place, to show the SPH mods that we are no pushovers and dont have to suck it up and jiak their bloody 3 points just because they are the mods there.

We are in the early stages of this forum, haven't even move over to the new server yet so i seek all of your understanding and forgiveness as the main focus would be to ensure everything is stable.

I apologize if anyone of you felt offended, i definitely understand how all of you feel.

I personally don't see the point of merging.

If threads are interesting, people will post in it. If they are not, it will die down. If topics are interesting enough to warrant two threads, why not?

The one incident where admin suggests to users what to discuss is also kind of uncalled for imo.

Other than that, no real issues with the moderation here.

I think ultimately, to achieve what this site is originally created for in mind, mods should not act like mods unless against trouble makers, or it is necessary for them to step in. The presence of moderation should be minimal if the basic rules set are not breached.

I can understand the need to tidy up the forum.

However, take note of the nuance of the message - an Admin asking us to stop bitching and then proceeding to merge all threads together.

Admins are starting to TELL us what to do - and also doing it from their perspective.

Soon they will say they are doing it out of free and stop complaining....

If the new forum not yours, make sure you are kakilang of admin. As a ally or friend of the admin, giv u priority to be mod.

definitely not..... i have done close to none moderation, except helping to add [NSFW] tags to threads and banning / fixing the clones / IBs / spammers, that's about it. That will not change

We are all in the state of learning how to let this community thrive..and at least the diff here is that we will let what the community dictate what you guys want and not what SPH wants. Of course still within reasonable limits (no child porn etc. or u will really go lim kopi)
So thanks for the feedback, perhaps merging of the threads may have been a tough call as about half were for and half were against..

On stickying and telling ppl what to say, that was against the spirit of this forum. Prease forgive moi
