SINGAPORE: Three men, aged between 35 and 39, were arrested on Tuesday (Dec 29) for allegedly assaulting a 60-year-old taxi driver at a taxi stand located along Holland Village on Dec 16.

Police were notified about the case at around 11.43pm. According to Facebook user Kelvin Ling, who attended to the victim, the taxi driver had just gotten out of his vehicle when he was suddenly attacked. The taxi driver did not know why he was attacked, said Mr Ling.

The suspects will be charged in court on Thursday for the offence of voluntarily causing grievous hurt with common intention. They could be jailed up to 10 years, and shall also be liable to fines or caning.
