Another dead cat found in Yishun after arrest of alleged killer

According to cat interest group Yishun 326 Tabby cat, the dead cat was found at 3pm earlier today (Dec 30).

SINGAPORE - Another dead cat has been found in Yishun.

According to cat interest group Yishun 326 Tabby cat Facebook group, the cat's carcass was found at 3pm on Wednesday (Dec 30).

This comes soon after alleged cat abuser Lee Wai Leong, 40, was arrested and charged with one count of animal cruelty earlier this week.

Lee reportedly threw a cat to its death from the 13th floor of a HDB block.

Calling for witnesses, the Yishun 326 Tabby cat Facebook group said: "The cat has blood on the ears and mouth" in its post.

Online speculation has been rife that there might be a copycat cat killer on the loose or a supporter of Lee may be involved.

According to Nee Soon GRC MP Mr Louis Ng, the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) is investigating the cause of death. He said, on his Facebook, that there may be more than one cat killer, and added that "the community is also continuing with their efforts on the ground".

Around 20 cats have been found dead or seriously injured in the Yishun area over the past three months. This incident also comes on the heels of a spate of cat abuse cases in the area, where another dead cat was found floating in a pond on Dec 26.

Too little info until autopsy is done

But need to keep a lookout on copycat killers

Cannot be kena attacked by dogs? Or some other accidents? Or maybe kena GBS virus? Or fight with other cats and kena pwd by a stronger cat??

Attack by dogs/ fight with other cats confirm will say bite marks, gashes, scratches

GBS virus maybe the news will say: Vomit, diarrhea found near cat

Accident...maybe pwned by some cars...
